Services Offered at The Cat Mansion Music Studio in Fort Collins, CO

The Cat Mansion is a mixing, mastering, and music production studio based in Fort Collins, Colorado. Our primary focus is helping artists transform recorded tracks into finished, release-ready music through professional mixing and mastering. Production services are also available to help shape arrangements, refine performances, and guide projects from concept to final master.

If you want to work together on your project, the studio is set up for both remote and in-person collaboration. Artists can join sessions from anywhere to listen, give feedback, and work through mixes or production decisions together.

In-person recording sessions are available for select clients. The studio is well suited for focused tracking such as vocals, guitars, bass, synthesizers, piano, and other solo instruments, as well as overdubs and production work.

Audio Mixing and Mastering Services

Mixing: $375 each for 1-2 songs, $320 each for 3-9 songs, $260 each for 10+ songs
The process of taking multiple recorded tracks, EQing, balancing, and adding effects to them that results in a stereo file that is ready to be mastered. Price will vary for projects with high track counts/complexity. Includes two revisions.

Mastering: $150 each for 1-2 songs, $130 each for 3-9 songs, $110 each for 10+ songs
Final preparation of audio files ready for delivery to streaming and other distribution services. Mastering services assume client provision of a well-mixed stereo file. Mastering requirements vary for streaming audio platforms, vinyl, CD, television, and other broadcast media. Master files are prepared with destinations in mind. Apple Digital Masters available. Multi-destination masters available for a fee. Includes two revisions.

Stem Mastering: $245 each for 1-2 songs, $210 each for 3-9 songs, $170 each for 10+ songs
Mastering performed on no more than four stem tracks (e.g., all percussion, all basses, all guitars, all synths, vocals, etc.) plus bounced send effects, which require small audio repair (e.g. solving phase issues, noise removal, etc.) or other specific documented need prior to mastering preparation. This is not a mixing service, and it is assumed that the stems are fully mixed and prepared for mastering. Includes two revisions.

Mix and Master: $445 each for 1-2 songs, $380 each for 3-9 songs, $310 each for 10+ songs
Multitrack mixing followed by mastering that results in the output of two stereo files: a mixdown and a master, prepared for the destination(s) of choice. Includes two revisions.

Music Production Services

Producer Services: $175 per hour (at The Cat Mansion or remote/virtual), $225 per hour + travel (off-site or on-location)
Collaboration with an artist to develop arrangements, establish sonic direction, direct performances, and oversee the technical work required to ensure the artist’s vision is maintained from before the first note is recorded until the final master is pressed.

Custom Composing: price varies, please inquire
Creation of fully custom music, including performing and/or hiring session musicians as needed; from individual tracks, like drum programming, to full arrangements, provided rights-free/full buyout and ready for you to use in your television show, movie, short film, video game, or other project.

Session Musicians: price varies, please inquire
The Cat Mansion has a roster of skilled musicians, who play a wide variety of instruments or sing, available to perform in your song.

Voiceover: price varies, please inquire
Creation of custom spoken word content, including performing and/or hiring talent as needed, to produce finished-quality recordings for use in audio books, commercials, films, etc.

Re-amping: $25 per setup + $5 per min of audio
Playing an existing track back through a new effects chain and amplifier and re-recording the result.

MIDI Re-tracking: $25 per setup + $5 per min of audio
Recording an already-written MIDI track through a different synthesizer, drum machine, or sampler with effects to produce an audio file.

Vocal Tuning: $25 per min per vocal track
Melodyne pitch correction (with or without breath removal) performed on an individual vocal take (cannot be performed on mixed/affected vocals).

Music Studio Rate

Studio Use Rate: $125 per hour, $460 per half-day, $800 per day
In-person recording in Fort Collins, CO at The Cat Mansion. Includes an experienced engineer for the duration of your session, and provides full use of all studio equipment without additional rental/consumables fees. Secure digital download delivery of all files included in hourly rate. Select clients only.

Mentoring & Lessons

One-On-One Live Mentorship: $75 per half hour or $125 per hour
Deep and focused mentorship and collaboration to help you learn new audio production techniques, work through challenging parts of song production/mixing together, learn synthesis (from basic to advanced), or get live, actionable feedback and critique on your music or mixes. Available via Discord, FaceTime, and Google Meet, and in-person for select clients local to Fort Collins, Colorado.
