Most projects follow a straightforward process designed to keep things collaborative, efficient, and focused on getting the best possible result for your music.

How the Process Works

1. Discovery

Every project starts with a conversation about your goals, your music, and what you want the finished result to sound like. You’ll send over your audio files, and once I understand the scope of the project we’ll agree on a timeline and pricing. You’ll then receive a contract and quote to review and sign electronically. A 50% deposit secures your place on the schedule and allows work to begin.

2. First Pass

Once the first version of your mix, master, or production work is complete, it will be shared privately through Highnote so you can listen and leave time-coded feedback directly on the track. This version is meant to get us into the ballpark and give us something concrete to react to.

3. Refinement

Based on your feedback, I’ll make revisions and upload an updated version for review. This is where we shape the project and finalize the major details. If you’d like, we can also review this stage live (either in person or remotely) so we can make decisions together in real time.

4. Final Polish & Delivery

The final revision round focuses on fine details and making sure everything sounds exactly right. Once the project is approved and the remaining balance is paid, final files are delivered for download. Files are typically delivered through Highnote, but alternate delivery methods can be arranged if needed.

Collaboration Tools

Projects at The Cat Mansion can be completed entirely remotely or collaboratively in real time. Highnote is used for private audio playback and time-coded feedback, allowing you to comment directly on specific moments in a track. For real-time collaboration sessions, the studio uses AudioMovers ListenTo, which streams studio-quality audio directly from the DAW so you can listen and give feedback live from anywhere in the world.

Pricing listed on this website provides general guidance but is not a formal quote. Every project is different, so final pricing depends on the scope and complexity of the work. Use the form on this page to describe your project and receive an estimate.

Terms & Notes

• A 50% deposit is required before work begins
• Files are only delivered in downloadable fashion after the remaining balance is paid
• Additional revisions beyond the scope of your job can be scheduled if needed for a fee

Unless otherwise agreed beforehand, projects are delivered as work-for-hire with full buyout.

Standard session resolution is 48/96 kHz / 24-bit, with final delivery typically at 48 kHz / 24-bit WAV unless another format is requested.

Please note that surround formats such as 5.1, 7.1, or Atmos are not currently offered.
